Thanks to your generosity, volunteers of the Widow’s Pantry will gift more than 180 coats this Christmas! Your gift is critical in warming hearts, and saving lives as we prepare for the harshness of winter and a severe global crisis felt most by those with the least resources.
On Dec. 19, volunteers gathered to prepare new winter coats as Christmas gifts for distribution to homeless men at the New York Avenue Men’s Shelter; and women at the Sherwood Women’s Shelter. Men and women will also receive bag lunches and blessing bags with toiletries such as masks, hand sanitizer, soap, wash clothes and other hygiene essentials.
A special thank you to Kim Frazier, of Giving Others A Dream (GOAD), for delivering a donation from the organization.
